Have you ever deal with computer viruses? One day I was told by my sister that her computer affected by Trojan because she accidently plug in a USB device without scanning with the antivirus software. It seems that the auto play is enabled by the registry system.

If you ever face the same problem, here is the step to handle it.

First of all, you have to uninstall your antivirus software if it is not the “antivir” antivirus software. It is the most powerful antivirus software I have ever seen.

I was using a free AVG edition but I got trouble, it can even detect a Trojan virus from USB devices. Then I install the new AVG which I downloaded from internet. After restarting my computer, I scanned the computer hard disk.

The result was unbelievable. “Antivir” managed to catch every virus on my sister’s computer.

Actually, there are few option can be done to deal with computer viruses.

1.    Get good antivirus software. To get good antivirus software, you have to read the review about it or listen to others say about it. You can Google for a review site which provide trusted review and visit their site. Make sure to read more than 1 review about the same product, so you will gain very objective perfective about the software you may use. After reading the review, you should know your computer specification and match it to the software you want to use. When you have already sure that it is suit your need best, download it and run it in your computer.

2.    Reinstall your windows. This is the easiest method of getting rid of computer viruses quickly. In order to do this, you have to make sure all your data is set to the different partition or you have backed up your files, unless you don’t need them any more. This method may takes few hours depends on your RAM speed.

3.    Unable the auto play from start menu > run > type “gpedit.msc”. Go into the administrative template in the user configuration. Then in the system section, enable the “turn off auto play”. This method is preventing your computer to load your USB devices automatically after it plug into your computer USB host. By doing this, you will stop the spreading of the viruses because it can’t be execute automatically. Make sure you, yourself don’t execute it by double clicking it.
